Alfredo Sauce

1/4 cup butter
2 cup cream
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground pepper
3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Combine butter, cream, salt and pepper in skillet. Bring to a gentle boil; reduce heat and simmer 4 minutes, stirring to prevent scorching. Remove from heat ans stir in Parmesan cheese. Do not boil. Mixture will be thin.
Yield: 4 servings

Or you can use what I use. I like the Western Family Alfredo Packets. You can get them on sale for 3 or 4 for a dollar. That to me is worth the price of the cream.

All it takes is a couple of Tbsp (tablespoons) of butter or margarine and 3/4 cup of milk. It has extra seasonings which I love.
