Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp
Bottom Layer:
1 1/2 quarts rhubarb
1/2 quart strawberries
2 Tbsp flour
1/3 - 1/2 cup water
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
Cover bottom of 9 x 13 pan with fruit. Combine sugar, flour and salt and sprinkle over fruit. Pour water over.
Top Layer:
1 cup flour
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup quick oats
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
6 Tbsp butter
Combine topping ingredients and spread over fruit mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
Apple Crisp
Bottom Layer:
2 quarts peeled sliced apples
2 Tbsp flour
1/3 - 1/2 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
cinnamon
Cover bottom of 9 x 13 pan with apples. Combine sugar, flour and salt and sprinkle over apples. Pour water over and sprinkle with cinnamon.
Top Layer:
1 cup flour
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup quick oats
1 cup chopped walnuts
6 Tbsp butter
Combine topping ingredients and spread over apple mixture.
Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.

ReplyDeleteWell I tried it last night, real yummy! The rhubarb my niece brought over was green. I was worried, I thought rhubarb was supposed to be red, but it turned out great!! Thanks, again!
