Tater Tot Casserole

1 lb ground beef
1/2 onion (or 1 Tblsp dried onion) cut up
1/2 green pepper
1/2 - 3/4 pkg. Tater Tots
2 cans cream of mushroom (or cream of chicken soup)
1 cup milk
1 cup grated cheese

Saute onion and green pepper together. Set aside and brown ground beef.

Combine beef and vegetables and put in a 9 x 13 casserole dish. Top with Tater Tots.

In a bowl, mix condensed soup and milk. Pour over Tater Tots and top with cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes.

I sometimes like to change things up a bit, so I will put in one can of cream of mushroom soup and one can of cream of chicken.

I am the type to season the meat while it is cooking no matter the recipe. Do not do this with this recipe. It makes it really, really salty.
